Domestic manufacturer Zen has introduced the successor of Cinemax 2. Predictably called the Cinemax 3, the handset costs only Rs 5499. This also includes a complimentary ‘protection kit’ worth Rs 500.
TheZen sports a 5.5-inch IPS (In Pane Switching) screen with 480×854 pixels. Thanks to the IPS panels, colours are going to look good. However, low resolution will cause noticeable pixelation. The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and has 2 GB RAM. Zen hasn’t shed any light on the chipset’s make. The internal memory of 16 GB can be expanded up to 32 via a micro SD card. Coming to the subject of camera, the Zen Cinemax 3 sports a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash. Selfie-lovers will have to settle for a 3.2-megapixel front-facing snapper.
Zen Cinemax 3 sports a sandstone finish back panel, which looks like a knock-off of OnePlus One. Thanks to its 2900 mAh battery, the handset is rated to deliver up to 30 hours of talk time. The company did also talk about the auto call recording feature and a one-touch SOS facility during the launch event.
As far as the software is concerned, the Zen Cinemax 3 ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Now that’s quite dated, but you can’t really more at this price tag.
