Micromax’s off-shoot, YU has launched an upgraded version of the Yunique smartphone. Named Yunique Plus, the new handset boasts of 2 GB RAM. That’s twice the amount compared to its predecessor. The internal storage, however, remains the same. Don’t worry though, you can add up-to another 32 GB storage via a microSD card slot.
The Yunique Plus comes with a 4.7-inch HD screen. To deliver good colours and wide viewing angles, YU has used IPS panel. To save it from scratches, the screen has been coated with Gorilla Glass 3. To handle your daily tasks, the handset is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 chipset clocked at 1.2 GHz.
In the photography department you get an 8-megapixel camera. Selfie-addicts will be disappointed to know that there’s only a 2-megapixel snapper on the front. The 4G LTE phone comes with other connectivity essentials such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS (Assisted GPS).
The YU Yunique Plus packs-in a 2000 mAh battery. With a price-tag of Rs 6500, this handset competes with Xiaomi’s Redmi 3s. Going by the specifications, the Chinese brand seems to offer better value.
