The Most Underrated Smartphone Of 2018 Zenfone 5Z Now Available For Rs 25,000

Asus launched its the Zenfone 5Z at the MWC 2018 (Mobile World Congress). With the year coming to an end, the company is throwing some offers on it. The Asus Zenfone 5Z, which retails for Rs 30,000 for the base variant can now be bought for Rs 25,000.

The Asus Zenfone 5z carries a premium look and feel owing to its aluminium frame and glass sandwich construction. It sports a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super IPS+ display with a tall 19:9 aspect ratio and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. There is an iPhone X like notch at the top of the display and a slim bottom chin bezel. The rear sports vertically stacked dual camera sensors and the fingerprint sensor.

The Asus Zenfone 5z is powered by Qualcomm’s powerful octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, which also does duty on the OnePlus 6T and Poco F1. Suffices to say that this is an absolute stonker of a performer.

On the photography front, the Zenfone 5z comes equipped with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor coupled with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and Dual-pixel PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus). The secondary rear 8-megapixel camera provides 120-degree wide-angle view apart from capturing depth information for portrait shots. There is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter which comes with Auto portrait and Selfie Panorama modes. The cameras get AI support that can identify 16 types of scenes and object identification.

In audio department, this handset boasts of dual speakers with five-magnets and an NXP Smart amplifier. There is a 3.5mm audio jack, which is absent in the OnePlus 6T. It is also equipped with DTS 7.1 channel surround sound tech. Asus also bundles in a high-Res earphone in the box.

Other noteworthy features include Dual 4G VoLTE, expandable microSD storage up to 2 TB, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual band Wi-Fi. It runs on Android Oreo out of the box and is powered by a 3300 mAh battery which gets ASUS Boostmaster fast charging tech coupled with AI charging. It promises to charge the phone from zero to 100% in just 1.30 Hrs.

To further sweeten the deal, there are additional EMI offers for HDFC card holders and Bajaj Finserv. There are some instant discounts on SBI and Axis credit cards as well. The handset comes in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver colour options. The top-end variant with 8 GB RAM is also available at a discounted price of Rs 29,000.
