The Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 variant is out in the Indian market, along with the Galaxy J Max. The two phones are priced at Rs 9750 and Rs 13400 respectively.
The two key features that make J2 and J Max stand out from the contemporaries are Turbo Speed Technology and Smart Glow. Turbo Speed Technology (TST) allows the smart phone to load apps almost 40 percent faster. It also shuts down idle apps running in the background. Smart Glow is the LED notification light placed around the primary camera. Users can customize various alerts and notification colours.
Additionally, the devices boost the S Bike and Ultra Data Saving modes. The Galaxy J2 (2016) comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and runs on 1.5GHz quad-core processor packed with 1.5GB RAM. The device is powered by Android Marshmallow. The 2600mAh battery promises a long lasting performance. The device sports a 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 megapixels snapper on the front. The 8GB internal storage can be easily expanded up to 128 GB by using a micro SD card.
The Galaxy J Max, on the other hand, features a 7-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. I like to believe that it more of a tablet than a phone. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. The device comes with 1.5 GB of RAM and a 4000 mAh battery. The oversizez phone runs on Android Lollipop. The device is equipped with 8 megapixel camera.
The Galaxy J2 will be available from July 10 through various online stores. Those planning to buy the Galaxy J Max will have to wait till end of this month. To sweeten the deal, the Galaxy J Max will come with a free Bluetooth headset and a year long premium subscription to Viu, which provides free access to movies, TV shows, and more.
