The insanely popular Pokemon GO game has finally landed in India. Introduced back in July, the smash hit augmented reality game has been available in select countries across the globe. However, Pokemon fans in countries where the game isn’t officially available have been downloading the APK files from portals such as APK Mirror. Niantic has been taking counter measures against such downloads time and again.
In India, Reliance has entered a strategic partnership Niantic. Under this deal, Reliance retail locations will be listed as PokeStops and Gyms within the game. The app will also integrate the Pokemon GO channel with the reliance JioChat messaging app. Niantic has a similar partnership with the coffee house chain Starbucks in the US.
