Samsung’s flagship, the Galaxy S7 edge is an engineering marvel with an iconic design. However, it seems the Korean company still looks up to the iPhone when it comes to the mid-range smartphones. Unveiled in China, the Samsung Galaxy C5 brings the iPhone feel at an affordable price.
The C5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 chipset. It has 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel selfie snapper. Samsung has also been generous enough to throw-in a fingerprint sensor. In the department, it actually one-ups the iPhone with its 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED screen.
Boasting of an all metal body, the Galaxy C5 is only 6.7 mm thick. The phone supports 4G LTE. The dual-SIM handset has an hybrid slot that can double-up as a microSD card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 will come in silver, grey, gold, and pink colours. In China, the 32 GB variant is priced at 2199 yuan (approx. Rs 22,500). There’s a good chance that the company will soon launch it in the Indian market, which has a good demand for dual-SIM phones
