The iPhone 7 is finally official. Unfortunately, unlike what everyone was hoping for, Apple has not made any design change. The iPhone 7 looks like its predecessor, and the one before it. The biggest upgrade this year comes in the form of Ingress Protection certification. In simple words, the iPhone is now waterproof. Much like your friend’s Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch IPS panel with 1334×750 pixels. It boasts of a 12-megapixel camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). This is also the first iPhone to record 4K videos. For selfie-monsters, there’s a 7-megapixel front-facing camera. As expected, the handset does away with the 3.5 mm jack. The new Earpods are now compatible with the lightening port. The fingerprint sensor is now pressure sensitive. It covers all the essential connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and NFC.
The device is powered by the A10 Fusion chip, which is said to be 40 percent faster compared to the A9. The phone runs iOS 10 out-of-the-box. The 32 GB iPhone 7 is priced at$649. The top-end 256 GB version will cost you $849.
