Gionee has introduced its F103 Pro (what a terrible name) smartphone in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 12,000, it is exclusively available on the company’s website.
The smartphone has a 5-inch IPS screen with 1280 X 720 pixels. The F103 Pro runs on Amigo 3.1 UI, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB internal storage.
Gionee’s latest handset sports a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash. You get a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies. The F103 Pro is powered by a 2400 mAh battery, which offers talk time of 20 hours, and 470 hours of standby time. According to the company, this handset is in-line with Gionee’s ‘Make In India’ initiative, which stated off in September 2015.
For Rs 12,000, Gionee F103 Pro will be competing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB) and LeEco Le 2. Considering that Xiaomi’s offering comes with a pixel-packed Full HD screen and more powerful processor, things don’t look optimistic for the F102 Pro.
