Twitter has finally made that fancy blue check-mark icon to all its users. You can now get your Twitter account verified. To boast the blue tick on your account, you have to fill a form on the official website with a verified contact number, email id, photograph, and reasons for getting the account verified. Twitter might also ask users to “scan and upload a legible copy of your government-issued ID (such as a passport or driver’s license) to confirm your identity.” Once the form is submitted, Twitter will reply via email. In case your request is denied, you can submit the form again after 30 days.
Till now, Twitter has only to verified accounts of public figures, people in media, sports, politics, business, and brands. Before you get at all excited, keep it in mind that your account will get verified only if it’s of “public interest”. Now, we don’t exactly know that that means.
