Doom Will Put Shooting Back Into Shooters

By -

Doom may not be the first shooter game of its kind, but it pioneered the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre. Developed by id Software, the trigger happy game took the industry by storm in 1993.

Its story was nothing but excuse for its gore driven gameplay. Released in the DOS days, this franchise is now getting a makeover for the Windows 10 generation. Going by the the official video, it is clear that the graphics look stunning. More importantly, id has not tried to change the its core. It still revolves around the no nonsense twitch gameplay and there is gore. Plenty of gore. If you don’t like brutalising demons, this game is not for you. Sorry, here’s your Candy Crush.

Sheduled to release next year, Doom will be a much-needed break from the whiney interactive movie video games with more cutscenes than action. The game will be available on all major gaming platforms such as Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
