The world is going mobile. To keep up with the trend, peripheral companies have rolled out accessories such as mobile speakers to mobile printers. So why not a pocket-size projector? That’s exactly what the Taiwanese brand Asus though. The result is the ZenBeam E1, a pico-projector that works with HDMI/MHL input. It is compatible with PCs, smartphones, and media streaming devices.
With 150-lumens output, the ASUS ZenBeam E1 can project up to 120-inch screen. That’s bigger than most TVs. The lamp is said to have 30,000-hour life. The ZenBeam E1 includes a built-in 6000mAh rechargeable battery that delivers up to 5 hours of projection time when you’re on the go, and doubles as a power bank for your mobile devices.
The projector’s resolution is quite dismal though. It can produce 854×480 pixels. In addition to smartphones, gaming consoles, the ZenBeam E1 is also compatible with a variety of media streamers such as the Chromebit and Vivosticks. The ZenBeam E1 is priced at $250, which roughly translates to Rs 17,000.
